Lean-Six Sigma

According to the quality pioneer Armand Feigenbaum (Feigenbaum & Feigenbaum, 1999), in the 21st century, having an excellent product alone is not enough. To sustain competitiveness, organizations must provide quality services, such as reliable deliveries and after-sales support. It will be necessary to harness the power of technology in favor of the customer.

The Lean Six-Sigma methodology is considered a powerful business strategy to effectively reduce variability and increase quality in business processes through a well-structured and systemic continuous improvement approach. Lean can be considered as an inter-process improvement approach that promotes flow and Six-Sigma for intra-process improvement, reducing variation and improving quality. When implemented simultaneously, they can complement each other to achieve process excellence.
